GIS Specialist
Dylan draws practical references from over twenty years of involvement in forest management as a wildland firefighter, saw and torch enthusiast, silvicultural technician, ISA Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessor, local tree service owner, and federal wildland fire equipment contract holder.
Dylan holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Biology from Southern Oregon University with a Certificate in Geospatial Science. He also completed graduate work in wildland fire management at the University of Montana in the College of Forestry and Conservation. At SOFRC, he aids in geospatial science delivery to its many partners, designs surveys and app-based data collection tools, and assists in the upkeep of the All-Lands Explorer geohub.
At home, he and his wife are building a 40-acre woodland farm that embraces a self-reliant ethos in the hills of Ashland. Dylan can be found raising his children, hunting fungus, petting dogs, and running area trails when he has free moments.
