Education Program Assistant Director
Ben graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and worked in fisheries ecology and management after moving to the West Coast. His first exposure to the classroom was as a National Science Foundation (NSF) GK-12 Graduate STEM Fellow working with Lewiston High School in Idaho.
After deciding to make the transition to education, Ben earned a Master’s in Education from the University of Nevada, Reno, and has taught as an informal educator with Sierra Nevada Journeys as well as full-time in the classroom at the high school and middle school level.
When not at work, Ben spends the majority of his time exploring the great outdoors with friends and his family. From hunting to archery tournaments to participating in NAVHDA dog trials, Oregon always has something to stay busy with!
